Lao Boat Racing Festival coming to San Diego, October 31st, 2015

On October 31st at Tecolote Shores North, Mission Bay Park in San Diego, the Lao community will be gathering for the nd annual Lao Boat Racing Festival from 9am-4pm. You can learn more by visiting MekongBoatRacingClub on facebook or e-mailing MekongBoatRacing@gmail.com.

Among the vendors who will be present will be Sahtu Press, with author appearances by Nor Sanavongsay, Bryan Thao Worra, and Krysada Panusith Phounsiri. They’ll have a variety of Lao American books on hand including copies of A Sticky Mess; Dance Among Elephants; Tanon Sai Jai; DEMONSTRA; The Wolf and the Moon; To Live Here; and My Proud Sacrifice. Books will be $20 each, except for The Wolf and the Moon which sells for $5.
