They do accept translations of written works. Aside from translated works, they ask that you submit your own work either mostly in English or provide a translation into English. If you submit an untranslated piece entirely in another language, they’ll just be very confused.
They accept previously published work, but would prefer to see new pieces submitted. By submitting to Rambutan, you agree to allow them to publish your work both online and in our digital magazine, as well as in any later print anthologies.
While they understand that Southeast Asia has been a region simmering with ethnic and political conflict, please refrain from submitting any work promoting racism or any sort of bigotry. These pieces will not be considered for publication and will be discarded from our inboxes.
Please keep all submissions under 3,000 words. Please also do not send more than three poems, or, if submitting fiction or nonfiction, please do not send more than one piece.
