Mattie Do: First Lady of Lao Horror Makes A Scene

Over at Wired Magazine, they have a new profile, “Mattie Do, Laos’ Sole Female Director, Scares Up Attention With Dearest Sister,” by Nathan Mattise, who takes a look at the amazing rise of Laos’ first woman director and the success her second film has been enjoying internationally.  She also just got a shout-out in Fortune Magazine’s column “The World’s Most Powerful Women” for November 2016. NBC News also just featured her in As Laos’ First Female Filmmaker, Mattie Do Shows What’s ‘Behind the Doors’. Hopefully she can keep up the momentum and get the support she needs for her third film and more, well into the next fifty years!
