The presentation by the students of Lao Student Association – Minnesota on November 19th at the University of Minnesota in Coffman Memorial Union brought together community members, families, and friends to celebrate Lao American culture. Demonstrations of traditional dance, VR tours of Laos, music, breakdancing, a papaya salad eating contest, and other interactive displays and other exhibits made it an interesting introduction to the heritage of the the students. With plenty of time between performances, there was ample opportunity to talk and enjoy each other’s company in a sabai setting.
